The run-flats were pretty worn at 33K miles, and I REALLY wanted something wider and sexier (without changing wheels) so... Went from stock 205/50-17 to:
225/45-17 Toyo Proxes T1-S. (Considered Yokohama AVS Sport, Goodtear F-1 GS-D3, Bridgestone S-03s, and Pilot Sports.) Out the door at $815. and, WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! Smoother, stickier, etc. Feels like a different car. Kinda cool looking too, huh? :bigpimp:
should have maybe waited a bit for the t1-R's though. the t1-s are a good choice still. congrats! you'll love them.

Call me vain and silly, but I just like the way the T1-S looks better than the T1-Rs. Go figure, huh?
They look cool ... do you notice any performance difference as far as accelleration ... sounds crazy but you must have saved weight going from a runflat tire which I would think are heavy to a toyo which are known for lightweight ...
Are you happy with the handing and do you now notice tramlining more ...
One other thing, did your car come with a spare tire since you have the runflat option ?

Performance is nice, although the sidewalls are really softer than the run flats, so cornering and freeway curves at speed (what else?!) make the car lean more. But, hey, it's an "xi" - what do you expect from a car with no sport suspension in the sport package and an inch of height? I'm considering adding a Dinan suspension. Accelleration improvement? A little. No tramlining at all. And the Toyo's are MUCH quieter. ATC, I'm very happy.
