Hello all,
After owning 2 BMW 2002s in the late 60's - mid-70's I have finally returned to the fold. I recently bought a 2001 Z3 2.5 Roadster and have rediscovered the joy of driving.
Excuse my enthusiasm, rude manners and ignorance. I am a newbie here and for all intents and purposes to current BMW ownership.
I've attached some pics.
regards to all.

Welcome Mac,
You might need to bump this post back up in a few days so more people can welcome you. Most of us (500 or so cars) are down in SC at the plant where your car was made celebrating its Homecoming.
The board will be much more active by the middle of next week. In the meantime, keep driving

Hey and welcome! Congrats on your new wheels -- I own the '01 Z3 2.5i, and I've never owned a nicer set of wheels. (Probably never will again, either -- just bought a house, and new baby on the way. I'm looking for a used Yugo to get myself around.) ;)
Folks here are really pretty nice -- I'm new here myself, and they've been really welcoming. There's also a community of Z3 users onthe Roadfly.org boards (although I was treated pretty rudely over there).
Wherever you are, see if you can hook up with the local Z3 club/owner's group. I owned the car for 3 years before going on my first "Z-car drive" -- and I'm sorry I did. We had a great time, and it's fun to be part of the spectacle. I highly recommend the experience.
Have fun --

Yes, funny how that is.
Just so nobody gets the wrong impression; on this board, we talk about Z3 & Z3M Roadsters & Coupes. We don't talk about (other) people or levy personal attacks (like on roadfly).
The object is to stay on topic (though I'm guilty of mentioning achievements when I actually get something done on my Healey).
That's what makes this board so good.
