View Full Version : Gary: EBC Ceramic?
Hey Gary I came across this in a magazine. It looks like what I need for the track. Do you carry them and any feedback?
Latest and greatest formulation for fast street use. Redstuff Ceramic pad compound will blow your mind when used in anger on faster street cars such as Evo, Impreza, M3, Skyline and anything quick.
An ECE R90 approved pad, legal for street use yet capable of stopping you from regular 100mph plus runs without fade. The pads just keep getting better the more abuse you give them.

Unfortunately we do not carry this product, sorry.
From the blurb you posted, it speaks more of fast street usage, which is generally not nearly as hard on pads as track usage. One normally does not see ceramic and track together in the same sentence when talking about great track pads.

How about EBC Greenstuffs for E36 M3, Gary? I have those on my Rx7. Great road/track pads for the money, and VERY LOW DUST. I hate the stock BMW pad dust. Any suggestions for good braking power with low dusting for E36 M3?

Brakes can be a lot like tires, where some like the 'feel' of one versus another. While I like the greenstuff pads, I personally prefer the Hawk HPS. From my experience the Greenstuff has great initial bite, but is more difficult to maintain consistant braking versus the HPS. After trying both on my 95 M3 I've been sticking with the HPS Hawks.

Gary, I've had the HPS on the Rx7, and they didn't hold up to a track day. I'm lazy, and don't like to change pads. Are the Greenstuffs available for E36 M3?

Not anymore, no...sorry.
The other pads that I had good experiences with are the Akebono Pro Acts on a 97 A4, and I found that these are available in the E36 M3 fitment.
