This was actually the first 330d I have ever seen here... looked like a German import... but I loved the color... Steel Grey!!! :thumbup:

You should have rolled down your windows next to him and asked... :p Or at least tried to find out if it sounded like a diesel under acceleration! :angel:

A 330iTd would be a cool car... frugal on gas, practical in wagon form, good handling with Sport Package, and decent performance, especially from a diesel.

What kind of licence plates did it have? If the car had consular plates, the driver may have been with the German government.

I think California diesel is OK. I know California gas is OK for Japanese lean-burn direct-injection engines that can't run on regular US fuel.

Or manufacturer plates. Maybe BMW was doing some testing. :dunno:
