Radar detectors in Europe -- question for Alex Baumann

Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a radar detector that I'll be using in Greece and was wondering if anyone knows if there are US models that will also work there. I've heard that the frequencies used in Europe are different from those used in the US.

Not sure about Greece, but Germany, France, and Italy use different frequencies than the States

Hi PG,

the radar warners are strictly forbidden in Germany since January 2002. They'd be confiscated if seen in a car.

As for the frequencies, I may check it on the other board to see if I get some info.
