Hello board. I just picked up my first BMW. A 1989 535i 5-speed. I love the car. The PO has done some upgrades and of course there are a few things that need attention. Which I will address soon enough. Just wanted to say hi and get everyone ready for my onslaught of stupid questions. The search tab is my friend..... :)

Welcome to the Fest. Nice 5er.
There are a few E34 owners here, so hopefully THEY will be able to address your questions!

Thanks guys. The pix are deceiving. I think the original owner must of taken thru an automatic carwash every day! :tsk: It is loaded with deep scratches on every panel. I wetsanded a spot and buffed/polished it last night and it looks like I may be able to save the paint. Thge only mechanical issues seem to be climate control related.
The PO upgraded the car with 17" wheels, K&N cone filter, Bavarian Autosport chip, oversized throttle body, Pagid brake pads, and 750il front suspension bushings.
Here are some more pix.

Shawn,
Have you checked out 'The Detail Deptartment' here at BimmerFest? Autopia (http://www.autopia.org/forums/index.php?) is a good resource as well. You may be able to do more than you think
