Sport Edition Fox 6
Silver Painted
17x7
Dunlop Winter Sport M3 (Performance Winter)
Sidewall Style: Blackwall
Size:225/45-17
VR Speed Rated
I'm looking at these because they're the best rated and they seem good for the Baltimore/DC area. We get snow occasionally, and a severe storm even less often, but usually the roads are clear.
Gary, what do you think of those rims? They were the cheapest ones, but I was wondering if they'd hold up well on Baltimore's potholey streets. I want to pay as little as possible, but I don't want to get super soft rims.
Finally, for those who have bought from Tire Rack: Did you get the road hazard package? Do you think it's worth the money?
TIA to all. :)

Oh yeah, also for Gary, expect any sales on rims or tires anytime soon? (Wishful thinking...)

No and no. I can't really give you a reason, but, hey at least I replied to your thread. :hi:
I'd be a little concerned about rims that inexpensive bending, but at that price, if you bend one, you can just buy another... :p

The decision to buy road hazard insurance is like any non-mandatory insurance. I usually choose to self-insure myself, but really the choice is a personal one.

The Sport Edition Fox 6 has been one of our most popular winter package wheels for a couple of years now. All of the wheels we sell are going to be O.E. quality or better. The Fox 6 wheel is VIA, JWA, and even TUV certified for quality and load ratings. It doesn't get any better than that. They may not have the fancy magazine ads like some of the bigger name wheels but they make a top quality wheel. Road hazzard is one of those things you have to judge based on your personal experience. If you've had a tire ruined within the last two years, it may make sense for your normal tires. For Winter tires, you are only going to be using them maybe 4 months out of the year. Is is worth it for something you are only using a third of the year? :dunno: It's like anything, you just have to run the numbers and see what makes sense in your situation.

Hmm, Tire Rack's website no longer shows 17" packages for a 2004 330i ZHP. What gives? :dunno:

The 17" fitments are still available. They are updating new fitments on the website Winter package screens this week and everything should be updated by Saturday. I checked and the 17" are not showing up due to a glitch right now  . They are working on it as I type. You can contact me direct if you need specifics on these at 1-877-522-8473 ext # 313.

Hmm, prices on wheels/tires won't be changing, will they?

No, they are just updating the software and adding new wheels where available.
