1997 DINAN M3 Sedan (5-speed Manual Transmission)
In 1997, the stock M3 sedan was the fastest production sedan available on the retail market. With a sub-6 second 0-60 time, and a top speed of 155 mph, it was also regarded one of the best handling production vehicles on the planet.
Dinan is the premier aftermarket firm for BMW upgrades. From mild to wild, their modifications are well-engineered, effective, and very reliable. Their top-of-the-line offering is their Stage III Supercharger – costing upwards of $13,000 installed!
The stock powerplant in the 1997 BMW M3 is a 3.2-liter inline-6 generating 240 horsepower. With a powerful belt-driven Dinan Stage III Supercharger bolted to the front, this turbine-smooth jewel pumps out an impressive 350 horses. 0-60 times fall below 5 seconds and top speed is an amazing 170 mph!
In stock form, the M3 engine is very durable. However, supercharging puts extra stress on engine internals. For most of its life, this engine was stock. 3,000 miles ago, this engine was professionally re-built from the ground up to exact standards. Upgrades included new diamond-forged aluminum pistons, new file-fit rings, and new larger diameter head bolts. All of these upgraded help the engine handle the additional horsepower. The result is a virtually brand-new supercharged M3 engine stronger than the factory offering!

Vehicle Condition
Second owner. This car was purchased with about 75,000 miles on it. It was my third vehicle, so it was garaged and driven on weekends. Love the car, but family and three kids just don't fit anymore...
This M3 Sedan was never raced or driven on the track. The body is very clean, with just a few pebble nicks in the front spoiler (as expected). No curb rash on wheels – tires are all evenly worn with at least 70% of tread left. All VIN and Serial numbers match on the doors, hood, trunk, and fenders. No accidents.
The color is Cosmos Black Metallic (“Cosmosschwarz”) over Black leather. Carpets are black.
The A/C blows ice cold, and the leather is in great condition. Full-size spare tire is OEM BMW M3 wheel and Michelin rubber (jack, tools and wrench is all there). Radio is aftermarket Alpine AM/FM/CD (Alpine CDE-7859).
Receipts available for all engine work!
83,000 miles on the car (3,000 on the engine).
Asking $27,900 / obo
THIS CAR IS NOT MINE. IT IS OWNED BY A GOOD FRIEND WHO LIVES AROUND THE CORNER FROM ME. SINCE IT IS HIS THIRD CAR, THE M3 IS AT MY HOUSE UNTIL IT IS SOLD.
