Does anyone know how BMW lease/loan rates compare with bank rates? About the same on average, or do they discount a little? Thanks.

Not sure about bank lease rates but a good place to check out is www.leasebynet.com. They are much better than what shows up at the BMW web site. I've never used them but I have read a few postings here and at Bimmer.org where people said they were a good company to deal with.
BMW rates were 6.25% last month vs. my credit union's 6.9%.

Lease rates and residuals are usually better through BMWFS. However conventional finance rates are currently on par with what some other lenders are currently offering. If rates are close it is often better to go with BMWFS since they may offer an incentive at some future date to existing BMWFS customers. (Loyalty programs etc..)

Right now, BMWNA's lease rates for 330i/ix's are at 4.9%. I got mine at that rate.

Right now, my credit union is offering 5 year home equity loans at 6%. I wouldn't want to owe money on a car for five years but people seem to be happy with 60 month loans. If I was going to do that, I'd take the deductible interest over non deductible (provided that it winds up being favorable in the end)
