After flirting for years with the concept of driving a BMW, I finally took the plunge and leased a clearwater/beige 2004 X3 3.0 (step, premium, xenons, climate). The agressive end of year deals finally wore down my resistance ;-)
In addition, despite the complaints one reads on various BMW forums about SF Bay Area dealers, I had nothing but pleasant experiences during the purchase process.
More news later after I return from a business/vacation trip and actually get a chance to do some significant driving.

Lurking is an understatement. First post after joining nearly 2 years ago.
Nice choice. Also have the bluewater/beige combo.
BMW of MV?

Is it good Etiquette to ask for what the out the door price is on your puchase? If not please enlighten with a ball park prices of the X3. I am in San Francisco and is tempted to go for the plunge. Been checking with dealers and the was quoted $46600 ODT, with 2.9% financing. I wanted the same specs as yours, but with Navi also.

I got my X3 from BMW of MV.
MSRP was $43,445.
Internet price from Viraj Kumar was $40,137.
BMW of MV was nearly $1k less than BMW of SF (although I like working with Mark Gusto at BMW of SF) and $1200 less than Weatherford. Sonnen had virtually no selection and was not very helpful.
Peter Pan and two other dealerships did to respond to an email price quote.

MV did have excellent prices and also the largest selection of 2004s.
Probably no coincidence there ;-)
