I have a 1998 Z3 with the 2.8. I am curious if anyone has any suggestions for a computer software (chip) upgrade? I have read about the Conforti Shark injector. Is this a good option? Also, I do not plan on any other upgrades. Just want to improve power and performance some. Any pitfalls or common troubles with this type of upgrade? I would like the simplest method possible.
Thanks, Jeff

Conforti is always a good choice.

Terry, thanks. I suupose it will give me some degree of performance increase without any other modifications.

On OBD II cars (post MY95), you won't get major gains with just software in most cases. But it will make the car feel better in most cases.
Add an exhaust and cold air intake with software matched to having the CAI and you will see more gains.

I have the Conforti shark and am happy with it. It's also my only HP enhancement mod (on my 95 325is, I chipped, intaked, and exhausted which made at least a louder difference!). The engine seems to run happier and a bit smoother. Not sure if it's quicker, but perhaps.
It's also very easy to install and remove - but you do have to buy/borrow a battery charger, which must be hooked up to your battery during installation.
