Throttle adaptation procedure

Have any of you performed the 'throttle adaptation procedure' on your car? From what I understand, this procedure resets the throttle response to default settings. I've attached the procedure in PDF format. Found this over at e46fanatics.com and was wondering if anyone's tried this.

Yes, I tried it some months ago. I've got the steptronic, and I noticed it starting in 1st rather than 2nd after the reset. Also the shift points seemed a little more agressive...but I could be wrong.

Since I drive pretty conservatively (ok...like a granny) it reverted to its behavior before the reset after a few days.
