I thought this day would never come, but I can almost see an “M” in the very near future. Before that happens I need to sell my ‘98 328is 5-speed. It is Artic Silver with black interior and has the Luxury package with the 6 CD player in the trunk, traction control, dual climate, -Ok, basically everything BUT heated seats.
Since my ownership I have installed a CAI, Supersprint Exhaust and a BMW X-brace. As of last year I installed Bilstein heavy duty shocks & struts along with H&R OE Sport springs. All suspension points (rear shock mounts & front strut bearings) have been upgraded to M components and the BMW OE support plates where installed front and rear at that time as well. A “metal” water pump was installed ~7 months ago along with the aluminum water pump housing and radiator hoses.
Within the last ~6 months I have had the front calipers, rotors and brakes replaced. The windshield was replaced with OE glass about 3 months ago. As of this Friday (11/5/04) the ball-joints are being replaced with Meyle heavy duty ball joints at the dealership.
I am incredibly anal about records and have kept them all. I also have the previous owners records as well, -all chronologically dated and in order in a binder. I have done a “Car Fax” and have that report as well. This car took 2nd place for the 3 series at our 2003 BMW CCA Concours d’Elegance show. The car has never been tracked, smoked in or just plain driven hard. I’ve got 119K on the OD right now, which is from 60 highway miles a day back and forth to work. All fluids are synthetic, Motor oil has been Mobil 1 5w-30 changed every 6000 miles, transmission and final drive have been Red Line products and the brake fluid has been ATE Super Blue. I burn either Sunoco 91 or Mobil 92 octane fuel and have been recording between 33-34 MPG on the highway and ~25-27 in town. In preparation for the winter I JUST (last week) purchased two Nokian Hakkapeliitta Rsi snow tires for the rear, the fronts have Nitto all seasons. (http://www.nokiantyres.com/passengercars_product_en?product=610499&name=NOKIAN+HAKKAPELIITTA+RSi)

In conclusion this car is great, the ONLY way I’d ever even think of selling it is if I found something as good or better. I need a reliable daily driver and this car is -period. The car just passed NY state inspection and I would be more than happy to take the time to show the car to anyone who is serious and knows these cars for what they are. The Ultimate Driving Machine!

-I'm not finding your message???

Anyway-
The following information I (did not) mention in the ads, or in the roundel -as of yet...

Depending on the buyer and price, I "MAY" decide to keep some "extra" BMW OE components on the car...

Such as the OE clear lens set- rears, front & side markers are all in. I still have the amber US versions. These are from the dealer (BMW OE) -Very good condition!

Also- I have a set of BMW "OE" M3 LTW forged staggered rims, which weigh ~18-20 lbs each. The rears have Yokahama AVS Sports 245-40/17 with over 1/2 the tread left. The fronts have brand new Falken GRBs 225/45-17.

I also forgot to mention that the fuel filter and tranny mounts where replaced as well, no more than 2 months ago. I've done so much maintenance to this car to keep it in excellent condition I'm forgetting to mention them all...sorry

If I where to sell the car with out the extras I just mentioned I'm looking for $13,000, thats what NADA and Kelly blue book call out its value at.

The rims... I've seen bad examples go for $800, and excellent ones go for over $1200. Mine are about a 7.5- 8 out of 10. So I'd need $1150 to part with them "including the tires"!!- with the car...
The lens set cost ~270 for each taillight, ~65 for each front and ~27 for each side marker. All said and done they cost with tax about $750. I say there about a 8.5 out of 10 condition. But I'd let them go for $375 with the car...

So '98 328is with the LTW forged rims/tires and OE clear lenses = $14,375.00

Like I said- I'm just starting to advertise this car, if in a month or so its still sitting in the garage it may come down a bit. I just cannot at this time give it away. Now if your in the CCA give me a call and maybe we can work something out with the price.... ;)
