Does anyone have a copy of the TIS for removing the X3 radio and air vent? Or at least know how to do it? Does it take the 5 sided (almost hex) radio tool?

thanks

I have installed an ipod in my 2004 X3 using the BMW ipod install kit. To remove the radio, all you do is grip as best you can, the top of the vent above the radio and rotate it out and down. Once you have the vent out there are two screws attaching the radio to the radio frame. When you remove these screws the radio will pull out. Let me know if this works for you.

thanks - Is there any risk of breaking tabs or clips pulling the vent out. or does it snap out easily?
