Mini or Miata? [Archive] - bimmerfest

I know it is like apples vs oranges. Someone may say that the Focus SVT is better. But these are the two cars I am thinking as a second car.

Some background: In March, I put a deposit for a Cooper S but the wait was going to be a torture (next Spring). So, I cancelled the order. I noticed that slightly used Miatas have been depreciating a lot.

I have test driven the Cooper and it is a nice handling car. I remember testing a Miata awhile ago but I did not get a good impression.

Convince me with an Alpina version (though I heard Cooper works is modifying an S that produces more than 200 hp). :)

The Miata is so last year. The Mini is IN!

I saw one in the parking lot at the mall a couple of nights ago. That car looks sweet! Yeah Baby!
