2005 545I Oil Service..When ???

I recently had a 05' 545i delivered to my wife and after a month she has 700 miles aboard. I understand a service reminder light will come when service is needed but being a fanatic about service I feel the need to service this vehicle for the first time at 1000 miles.I was advised bmw vehicles can withstand long (14000 miles) distances before a service is needed but I don't agree with 14000 miles before service is required even with synthetic oils. So what do most persons agree in the amount of mileage and or time for service to change engine oil??

Two to Three times each 10k miles. That is the common belief among bimmeriests. Even with syntetic oil. depends if its mostly highways or stop-n-go trafic.
Regarding the first 1000 miles, the question is open. Some say do it. Some say you actually need to leave it there... :dunno:
Tell your dealer you'd pay for it. See what he says?
