hi,

first of all, since if been waiting for my ordered bimmer i've been surfing around the various forums but when i saw this one i decided to actually join.
so this is my first post wish me luck.

anyway to the question:

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good place in Canada to get rims, or do any Canadians have experience in ordering wheels from the States?

Thanks in advance.

I bought my AC Schnitzer Type3s from the States (I'm in Edmonton FYI) No problems but taxes and duties are killer.

Mine are for sale for the right price. ;)

thanks for the reply

ya the duty and tax thing is why i'm wondering if it's worth getting wheels from the states.

do you happen to have any pics of those AC's?

later.

I shop at Steelcase Tire (Woodbine/Steeles). Ask for Davey.

Wheels Direct in Scarborough is by far the best place for wheels and tires in Toronto. I've bought about 20 tires and 8 wheels from them I think, all in the past 6 years. Impossible to beat prices. On the last set of wheels and tires I bought (15" steels and 195/65 Pirelli 210 for my 323i) the price I paid came up to about $350 less than what Tirerack wanted, what with the horrible exchange rate. Don't buy from the states unless you just can't get them from a Canadian supplier!

If you go, ask for Colin.

Hi Mott. I ordered a '02 325i SP a few weeks ago. Are you looking for BMW rims or after mkt? I'm trying to source some
M68 rimms(not a big fan of the Style 44 rims the vehicle will come with. 44's have been around since '99 - need something fresh) I hate the new 330i rims the 2002 SP models come with. M68 rims are still the nicest ones.

Where did you buy your car and when do you expect delivery?

Is this a Canada thing?

330i with sports package comes with the new Style 96 rims.
7 star rim, bolts are covered. Ugly.

325i with sports pack come with Style 44 rims. Looks like all 330i with sports pack in the US come with M68. What does the '02 325i SP come with?

Hey Mott, I noticed that many SP models in the US come with larger fog lights(diff grill) vs smaller fogs. Have you seen this with '02 325i with SP, or '02 330i with SP?

hey gee-boo,

i think the fogs in the 02 sedans are the same in canada and the us (small circle ones). the grilles i'm not sure of though.

did you mention you were selling your rims. my car isn't sp so thats why i'm in the market for wheels.

i ended up ordering my car from perfomance bmw in st. catherines
from steve champion. he said yesterday that its coming in two weeks.

later.
