Six inches of snow here and 25 mile to work. Past 6 accidents on Rte. 283 on way to Harrisburg w/out slipping once. After getting back on to local roads w/ a good amount of snow still on them I approach a fairly sizable hill and wait patiently for a few cars to spin and slug there way up. I follow with no problem:p , woo hoo, I'm so glad I got this car.
The combo of this ability and the only slightly limited dry weather performance as compared to the i's makes the purchase that much more gratifying.:D :D :D

Curious, do you carry any weight in the trunk for traction? I realize its AWD, but another fellow I met here recently says for mountain pass driving, he throws in a couple of those plastic bagged sand bags for both traction and "just in case I need sand, or someone else is stuck and needs some sand.."

I used rubber mats one time when I got stuck on a sheet of ice on a hill in my old 4Matic. That and kitty litter. It was a REALLY steep hill, though, and very narrow, which was the real problem. That and the fact that traction control couldn't be turned off.
Certainly, if it snows a lot where you are, a bag or two would be a good thing to carry around.

No bags this morning but if we get a larger amount or a prolonged freeze, I have a sand tube at the ready.:)
