I phoned up SIXT here in Australia for a rental in Germany - they do have the 1 Series for rental... just a shame I can't drive it to Prague... so it is going to be a Peugeot for us sadly.

We were hoping to rent a new 3 series at the end of the year. It was looking good until they said the insurance wouldn't cover us the moment the tyres enter the Czech Republic. Crazy...

Cool - I had a great time in Germany with a 1.6L Audi A3, so I'm sure the 1 series will be fun. Love the little free-revving petrol fours.
