Thanks for your reply. A few more questions which hopefully you can answer for me.. How do you answer phone calls once the phone is paired up?, when i press the button to answer an actual call on the steering wheel the phone just keeps ringing, I usually answer it by using the actual cell phone, only then it will work handfree??. I also can't seem to make any calls from the Nav. System and to top it all off I can't get rid off the "phone book loading" message in the Nav screen, even though I only have four names saved. I have the MPX 220 Motorola Phone. Thanks in advance.

I didn't see your phone listed as compatible... sounds like it's locking up during the phone loading process...

Not sure about the MPX 220 Motorola Phone book loading issue. Please check X5World for that one. However, pairing of a phone can take up to 30 minutes. Please be very patient.
I have a Motorola V551 which is paired. When I get in the X5 it automatically re-pairs and works seamlessly. To make a call just locate the name in the directory and select the phone icon. To answer a call that comes in, press the phone button on your NAV or briefly press the talking head button on your steering wheel once. To hang up, press the talking head again or the phone button on your NAV.
Or, get the voice module and say NAME then a name in your voice phonebook. :D
I'm a Newbie so I hope I was helpful :dunno:

I just got a V551 yesterday for my work phone on the Cingular carrier. Now, currently when I push the Talking Head on my wheel nothing happens....dumb question....how would I pair this, or do I not have the proper package to make it work? If anyone has enough patience to explain that would be great.
Thanks in advance.

You do have the Bluetooth kit installed, correct (just making sure ;) ) ?
Assuming the answer is yes, look at pages 8 and 9 on this document for the pairing procedure - http://www.bmwmotorsports.org/crew/ucrewx5/pdf/ULFOwnerManual.pdf
