I am not sure if anyone will have some knowledge into this problem but if you do please help. So my dad is purchasing a new bmw in Florida and this is where the car will be staying for the time being. I am going to be the primary driver on the car because the majority of the time he will be up north in Pennsylvania. He wants to register the car in PA due to much lower insurance costs. Like $1000 for the year through PA and nearly $2000 every six months through Florida. He gets incentives and breaks though ALL State because all of my families cars are on one plan. So the main question is, is there a way to avoid having to drive the car all the way to PA within the 30 day window they give you when you buy the car to get it inspected in PA. We would rather not have to make the 1300 mile trip to PA. It just seems really stupid to have to take the car to some knuckle head at any old gas station in PA that does state inspection just to get him to say that the car passes. I tend to the think that the BMW dealer here in miami knows more then they do. Please let me know if you know any way around this. The dealer has been less then helpful on this issue.
