hey guys need some help on what snow tires to get on my new 05' 330ci with performance package....plus..if i get winter tires, can i still keep the rims on? or do i need to get new rims with winter tires..thanks! newbie

The ones I have that have worked like a champ on the E30 and the Miata are a Toyo tire called the 600-S6... I don't think they make it anymore, but they do make a studless tire called the Observe. If I had to get a new set, I'd give those a shot, because of the good reputation Toyo has across the board for tires and how good this set have been in snow and on ice. Just an option I haven't heard mentioned yet...

Your winter tire options are going to be limited this late in the season. Inventories are gearing up for spring/summer. :D

A friend of mine JUST ordered some LM22s from Tirerack, so they might still have them. I have them, and like them a lot. They're not terrible in the dry--the car is still fun to drive, and they'll get you through the snow.

just got the same car and i'm also in ny
i bought the asa rims w/ pirelli wintersport 240's
the bridgestone blizzaks are supposed to be better but i don't think they come in
255/35/18 for the rears
if they do let me know

hey tirerack had nothing...only 225/40/18 Continental's for $185 per tire

suck it up and get a set of winter wheels and tires wrapped in some blizzak ws-50's :bigpimp:

Most 18" are gone for the season. Your best option at this point is a set of 17" wheels with 205/50R17 or 225/45R17 all around.
