The IFC channel had "The Usual Suspects" on last night: letterboxed and no freaking ads. We had not seen it in awhile. What a great flick.

Yeah, that is truly an epic flick -- well written, directed, and acted. Just about every time I've seen it, I discover something new. Kevin Spacey said that it's a movie that you have to see more than once. That movie came out of nowhere as an independent film, and Spacey walked away with his first Oscar, for Best Supporting Actor.
Spacey's a very talented guy, and an accomplished stage actor. I saw him perform live at Foxwoods last November, promoting Beyond the Sea (skip that one, but the soundtrack is good). The guy can sing and dance, and has quite the repertoire of dead-on impressions, too (really nails Al Pacino). I would have liked to have seen him in The Iceman Cometh.
Who is Keyser Soze? He is supposed to be Turkish. Some say his father was German. Nobody believed he was real. Nobody ever saw him or knew anybody that ever worked directly for him, but to hear Kobayashi tell it, anybody could have worked for Soze. You never knew. That was his power. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist. – Verbal

We three sound like a trio of 13 yr olds at a sleepover, pouring over a copy of Teen Magazine,
What a great flick, though. I shoulda PVR'd it off my sat., so I could re-view it.
For those of you curious, and have IFC channel, check out sched., as I suspect it's on again.

I own the DVD, yet I happened to catch it over the weekend of IFC as well. One of my all time favs.
If you like, I can also recite virtually any line from Fletch and/or A Fish Called Wanda.
Any takers?
Oh, by the way, what kind of name is Poon anyway?!
