problem with my 97 328is

i have a problem with the automatic hvac. the display works when it feels like it, when its off i can't get any air flow, when its on it works great. do any of you have this problem and if so, what should i do to fix it?

Remove the unit, it's easy. then send it to www.bba-reman.com to be fixed. I think the whole thing cost me less than $100. These units are a very common problem.
