Help!!

Hey Everyone,

I have a 1996 318ti with about 90,000 miles. I am able to start my car in the morning and drive it around, but once I turn it off and try to turn it on again, it will not start. It makes a sound like it has a dry cough. If I leave the car for about 8 hours or so, it will start up again. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I recently had a tune-up and my battery changed about 200 miles earlier.

Just a suggestion,is your automatic choke staying on? It could be burning a rich fuel mixture.Are your plugs black? Whats your fuel consuption like?
