This was on my brand new ZHP - it's actually leftover residue from the foam pads that are glued on the car from shipping. The fix? Simply grab a cup full of very hot water - like hot coffee temperature, and just dump it down the body over the spot. It goes away!

This is according to BMW.

My spot was on the drivers door about 6" below the door handle.

I'd be concerned about pouring very hot water on my paint. Most dealers use 3M general purpose adhesive cleaner.

This info comes straight from BMW. If you saw the spot, its weird - its like its under the clear coat, not glue residue ontop of the clear.
