Can anybody give me some specs on a German market 84 323is? I can't find any info on this car, because it wasn't officially brought into the North American market. What's the engine size, and what hp/torque does it make?
Are parts hard to get for it in North America? Is there any interchangeability with North American models?

I own a 84 323i car, bought is last year. Car was imported in 88, was Americanized when imported. Dash and interior still in German. Fun car. Have only 2 problems since I have owned the car.
1st was fuel pump relay took a dump, went to dealer and bought new one for under $12.
2nd ECU went bad last week, can't find 1, been looking everywhere. Seems to be Euro specific. Number is different from US car.
Main diferrence is subtle, some wiring and relays are a little different. I swapped out LED clock and front seats from a 325, all fit. Dash is the same. Only problem is ECU.

This sounds like the car I need to find. I'm competing in a series where maximum engine size is 2400cc, so the 2.3 litre engine is the best I could get in a BMW.
Is there any German Domestic Importers in Canada, where I could get a E30 323, or does anyone know where I could find one in North America for sale?

There is a nice 1984 EURO 323 for sale in California. Here is the classified advertisement obtained from Roadfly.

If you are concerned about importing it into Canada, it is actually a very easy process. Simply pay your 7% GST, and the rest is just paperwork. This only applies if the vehicle is over 15 years old.
Hope that this helps.

parts are not hard to get in North America. I use www.bavauto.com for most parts that I need
