I was wondering if any of you have tried using non-stick cooking spray on your car before a long trip so that you can wipe em bugs of with ease. would there be any negative chemical reaction with car's paint with the spray?

I'll move this one to the Detailing Forum.
I wouldn't use anything other than wax or sealant to protect the paint. Keep a microfiber towel and a bottle of Quick Detailing Spray in the trunk.
After the trip, you can soak a towel with warm water, put it on the hood, leave it a few minutes (this will soften the bugs) and wipe the bugs off, followed by a wash. After that apply wax or sealant.
