I am "retiring" my RD Tornado bodykit for a new bodykit project to begin in 2 weeks. I was one of (if not the) first RD Tornado sedan in the US when it was first offered back in Fall '01. As most people know, I "turned" my BMW into strictly a show car only in Summer '02, so the bodykit has been in great shape ever since.
Here's the specs/more info:
- Selling full sedan RD Tornado bodykit, front/sides/rear. Front is the original fiberglass version offered by RD Sport.
- I bought the front/rear together from Plus One Motorsports in Portland, OR - via Frederico at RD Sport.
- Comes with original RD yellow fogs, front mesh.
- Bodykit has about 9k miles on it, if even that.
- Custom Dynashield "clear bra" was installed on the front bumper as soon as it left paint shop. Front bumper condition is about very good/excellent over the last 3 years. There are a couple knicks from hard road debris, but nothing cracked/broken. Bumper was not painted in perfect color match steel grey, so I'd suggest the new owner to take off the clear bra and repaint anyways. I was going to do this soon if I was to keep the front bumper.
- Bottom middle/lip of the front bumper has paint scraps under it. Unfortunately my driveway is not lowered vehicle friendly! But you really can't tell standing up to car or looking straight on. Only if car was on a lift.
- Sides/rear are in perfect/mint condition. Rear bumper was actually re-painted this past May when I had my CSL trunk lid painted. Of course if you don't have a steel grey sedan, you will paint over anyways
- Many people on this board locally here in Atlanta, GA as well as all up/down the east coast during my show stops over the years has seen this bumper and can attest to its great condition. If it was in crappy condition, I wouldn't have been in 2 magazine photoshoots and other magazine/web photographs and won numerous awards!
- Original price receipt from Plus One Motorsports for front/rear was $2740 back then in '01. I bought the sideskirts a year later from Rennsport for $500. I've seen the prices people have offered their kits/seperate pieces as well as the GB a year ago for $2600 for full sedan kit.
** Asking $2000 for everything (NY local pickup), OBO. Or $1800, plus shipping if a pickup cannot be made.
I really want to sell this as a complete kit and not broken up. However, I am willing to sell pieces seperately, but only until I have a buyer for each piece committed.
Local residents in NY/Long Island area is first preferred as my car will be in that area in a couple weeks till early April. Would love to not have to ship and local buyer in this area would be great However, I am willing to ship as long as buyer pays for it.
