Pilots. 06/04 build
I take it you are trying to establish some sort of trend, or compile some numbers/percentages?

Not sure what i'm going to do when these are done. I do like them, but I might pony up fo the PS2s.

Pilot Sports as well. I'd like to know if you get Bridgestones/Michelins depending on what region you live in?
Build date Sept. 4 2004- picked up in Munich Oct. 12 2004.

PS I buy my ZHP air in San Diego lol

PS I buy my ZHP air in San Diego lol  As I noted in previous post, 2 of us picked their ZHP's the same day in Munich. He got Michelins and I got Bridgestones. We are both from Texas. So the region you live in has nothing to do with what tires you get. A friend of mine here in Houston got his May 2004 build car with Michelins. I truly believe it is random.

For those of you who got the Pilots, are you happy with them? My RE040's are shot after 30K miles and I'm thinking of trying the Pilot Sport 2's now.

I am surprised that you have been able to to get that kind of mileage out of them. I keep hearing that I would have to replace at least the rear ones shortly after the 20,000 mile mark.

I was surprised too, thinking I'd only get 18-20K out of the rears. I do a lot of highway driving, so maybe that's why I got a few more miles. The rears are totally shot, minimal tread left, but the fronts can still go another few thousand miles I'd guess.
What kind of mileage are you Pilot owners getting?

13,000 and my rears are shot. The fronts look almost new.

Pilots on 4/03 build. The rears are worn past the wear bar but the fronts still have 75% of the tread remaining. I want to change to the PS2's but do not want to mix and match tires. I ordered two new 255/35-18 Pilot Sports yesterday. It really hurt to see the $267/tire when the PS2's were $208. At least I got a 25% discount by counting them as two of the 10 I can buy for One Lap of America (we are running my team mate's 98 M3/4).
