I need advice. I have searched this board and roadfly, but really have come up short.

I found a 2002 MCoupe on 368s.com that seems intriguing. My current lease on my 300 isn't up for another couple of months, (though if I warp another set of rotors they may let me break the lease) and I wasn't planning on buying over leasing, but this seems too good to be true:

2002 Estoril Blue on Black/Grey, and loaded to the gills. No mods, single owner, and like 16000 miles. Having looked at several forums with for sale threads, I have no idea what a fair price would be. I would also be interested in looking into the issues that the car may have, like engine failure that 368s.com had mentioned with the S54 engine, and the cargo floor issues. Are there any other quirks I whould know about?

This car looks really sweet, but I gotta learn more. May e too far away for a weekend to drive it, too.....

Fair is VERY subjective. KBB value is about $30K, IMO a fair price would be $32K, but he is wanting $43K for it on Autotrader, so I highly doubt he will (want to) sell it for less than $40K. What it really ends up going for is anyone's guess. Welcome to the world of S54 M Coupes!

43K? :yikes:

I guess with low miles and all... but I was thinking more like 35-36 :dunno: :dunno:

darn.... I just don't like anything Bangle's got going lately, and I am beginning to covet this car!

I think 35-36 is still way too much for this car, unless you have some $$$ in hand. Think about it, no bank is going to lend you 6-7K more than the highest retail value of the car. That $36K is approx. a 20% premium on a 3 year old car.
