Yeah, I know. My introduction sucked, but I've been preoccupied. :p
I bought it for a track/autox car. It's a 1990 325is, red exterior (we've already covered that) with tan interior. I've signed up for an Evolution school on 4/16, and a NJ BMWCCA driving school at Limerock Park on 4/22. This red beast will be escorting me to both.
My first experience upon getting the car home was realizing that it scraped bottom (badly) on the speed bumps entering my complex. The car is lowered with H&R sport springs, but it's not THAT low. After some time playing under the car, it was clear that the exhaust (the whole thing, from the engine back) was much lower than the rest of the car, so I spent some time raising it up. I think it will be OK now, but I haven't tried it yet.

Nice.
Is this the car from Pgh?
If so, did you have Euro Tech do a prepurchase inspection?

Clear coat and shiny paint just slow you down.

What's that non-red E46 doing in your sig!!! Get that out of there.
clearly the girl chose that color, not me.

The car survives 15 years being rust free: 13 in California, and 2 garaged during bad weather in NY. And this is how I reward it.
I'm seriously thinking about sacrificing the E46 instead!! This is just wrong. Damn I need to move to Texas and buy a place with a 3 car garage.

It's not actually the snow on the car that bothers me. It's driving it on salty roads. The car is partly a track/autox car, but I was also thinking it would allow me to keep the 330 in the garage on nasty days.
I'm starting to question if that makes sense. I might end up selling the E46 long before this car.

All factory iX stuff.
Helps keep the mud off the rest of the car. :bigpimp:

Here's my ride...had it since I bought new in May '88 in Seattle. Now has 180K miles, having lived in Washington, Colorado, Virginian, and Kansas. Love the Cinnabar Red--perfect shade for this car.
It has Bilstein HDs, H&R springs, UUC SSK, ATE power slots, M3 offset control arm bushings, K&N, and replaced that nasty OBC backlight (two pea bulbs wired in series!) with LEDs instead. Got rid of 14" mesh wheels after 12 years--got fed up cleaning them--and got the 16" Mille Miglia IIs. Also added a Stellar keyless entry.
It's my daily driver--looking at either an E46 M3 or 330ci ZHP as replacement in immediate future.
Cheers,
Zoomie

Oh, it's Cinnebar. If it was Brilliantrot, I'd ask you to shoot me a pm when you were getting ready to sell....

Very nice ix, I really like the wheels are they 4 lug? I'm getting tired of my bottlecaps, so I'm looking at wheel options.
