I just got a 2005 X3 with the Sirius Prewire Prep option. I have been told that I can have both Ipod adapter and Sirius Radio. I am having my Ipod adapter installed on March 4th, but I also want Sirius. I have two questions:

1. What is needed in order to add Sirius if I have the prep kit?
2. Is it cheaper to install Sirius if I have the prep kit - I heard the prep kit makes it easier to add Sirius. I was told $600 for Sirius to be added...seems high to me.

Thanks!

The BMW kit will not allow for Sirius - the ice>Link Plus will. As for your Sirius installation questions, I believe it is cheaper if the vehicle was prewired beforehand (693 package?).

Confused, I have 2005 x3, I am not per wired. I don't even have a AUX plug?

This is the pinout. Aux audio is available as a retrofit kit for about $50.
