I am getting tired of replacing masts, stripped gears, and motors.
Has anyone tired the manual antenna listed in the ETK, pn. 65 21 1 376 010?

Any help would be appreciated.

When I had my E30 325i, I just went and bought a flexible black rubber antenna (about a foot in height). A little bit of electric tape to help wedge it securely into the rubber mounting grommet pulled from the stock mast, a small bit of wiring, and done... 5 bucks. Looked pretty good, no leaks, secure, and no more gears to worry about. :D

After ours broke for probably the....fifth time...we just left it up all the time. (The car never went through a carwash, so it was no big deal)

Last time I checked with Maximillian, they said the manual mast assembly was NLA.

It never hurts to ask again. Let us know what they say.

FYI, I got the parts from Maximillian.

About $45 in all.
I'll let you all know how it goes when I install...

My power antenna broke, got tired of monkeying with it. I went to an auto parts store and bought a cheap (under $15) black flexible antenna and it works great, and doesn't look bad either.
