one questions, should we eat BEFORE hitting the road? Should I stop at McDonald's before leaving my house or will I have time to grab some food before we leave at 9:30 from Balboa park?

Yeah I know...just have to ask about the food...us fat guys have to know ya know?

do we always leave that late? that seems awfully late leaving OC at 8:05. this is my first bf, but i thought i remembered that in previous years, the caravan would leave earlier?

you won't need the sub-channels for bimmerfest, but yes, it'd be a good idea to get one that has them for future use.

Where in Balboa Park is the meetup? I'm not familiar with Encino, and on my map Balboa Park appears to be pretty large!

There is a large parking lot that is on Balboa Blvd (If I recall correctly). I posted some really detailed maps last year I am really bust this week but next week might be not as bad so I think I'll have the time to do that again

Maybe even take pics of the location, but only if I'm in the area, I'll keep the camera in the car. The park is only like 20-30mins from me so not a prob.

It is tree covered and has a wall towards the street so you can't really see all the cars when we are in there. There is another lot that is not tree covered and has no wall, but only thing is I think people liked the cool shade of the trees.

I'll get back to you with maps if anything, and I'm pretty sure I'll have the time to go snap some shots of the parking lot, some freeway exits and signs.

Thanks for the quick response! If the parking lot is right on Balboa Blvd it shoudn't be hard to find.

Hey Jon, what's up buddie. I'll be meeting all you guys on the 101 by the 23. I'll be with my own E36 M3 caravan of about 6. Wow I can't believe I've been to every single BimmerFest event. I'm still extremely excited for this one as I was for the first one. Gotta love all those bimmers in one city at one place.
Goodluck everyone.

There was a shift in the times. There wasn't any email update because there is still plenty of time, and chances are, people will check the site again. I will be emailing everybody when the time comes near either way though :)

WoW, someone did an excellent job with this website!!

I think you got the Balboa Park leaving time wrong?
I think they adjusted the times since the website originally went up. Right now, it seems to add up if you figure they leave the last stop in OC by 7:05 am, they will safely arrive in Encino between 7:35a and 8:00a. Traffic that early on a Saturday shouldn't be a problem on the 405/101. If the whole caravan is headed north on the 101 in Encino by 8:00am, arriving in SB by 9:10am shouldn't be a problem. Have a safe drive everyone and have fun!

Yes the times were move to sooner times to make sure we got to bimmerfest at the start WITHOUT having to speed or provoke it.

Its a nice cruise speed with a whole freeway of bimmers, very cool hehe

Went to the site (very well done) to register, but there was no option that is convenient to the Inland Empire. Have to meet Y'all at the 'fest!
