I don’t know if I can use this forum for this but I own a timeshare at the Silver Leaf Resorts, Week 12 (Spring Break) which is a highly valued week. Located in the Texas Hill Country adjacent to Canyon Lake. Enjoy river tubing, boating, swimming, hiking, etc...It’s just a short drive to San Antonio (Fiesta Texas, Sea World, the famous downtown River Walk, and the Alamo). The timeshare is a 2 bed, 2 bath condo that sleep 6 to 8 people. The owner has the following options; use the condo on week 12, rent it out to spring breakers ($800 to $1,000), or bank the time with RCI. I banked this year's week 12 with RCI, therefore the owner can choose a vacation week anywhere within the RCI Network for $148 condo in the US or $189 condo in Europe. I no longer need the time share because my brother gave me his in Pagosa Springs, CO (he liked it there so much, he moved there). The retail price on this timeshare is around $12,000, I’m selling it for $8,000. If you are interested, PM me.

It's perfectly fine with me. I was there last weekend. A nice get away from Houston. Good luck.

Thanks, I figure I should be able to sell it being that I'm selling it for $4,000 under retail

Sound like a bad investment if you have to undersell. :p

Not really. I was able to get it cheap because the people that had it before me upgraded and it was sold at the price they paid for it years ago.

I had a timeshare in Aruba - very, very weird. You have to be sharp and interested to see value from this type of "investment".

I'm glad I'm out --- but good luck to you.

We did get over it. We killed a lot of Mexicans at the Battle of San Jacinto. The big bad Mexican Army got thier ass kicked.

So why do you have to remind everybody about it in every post you make? :dunno:

My wife and I bought a 'timeshare' through Disney Vacation Club. Absolutely an awesome investment. Usually works out that we get a free week's vacation every year paid for by 'renting' some of our yearly allotted points. This year it worked out to a week in Disney (2 br at Boardwalk Villas) and a week at a beach house in Emerald Isle, NC.

Not only does it pay for itself, but the value of the investment has risen substantially in the past 5 years. 37 more years to go....
