This month I am introducing a new feature for the X Series sales report. Take a look at the two “% of TOTAL” columns. This new information gives you an immediate indication of the relative importance of each model to the total X Series sales figure for the current month and the current YTD period. Let me know if you like this additional info or if you think it makes the report too busy.

March sales of the BMW X3 and X5 Series totaled 5,674 units, up 14.5% from the 4,955 sold in March of 2004.

By way of comparison the Mercedes-Benz M Class sold only 2,283 units this month, down 1.0% from the 2,307 sold last March.

Please note that I report only United States sales data.

I was at the MB shop in GTA. The 2006 models are avaliable for delivery next week, and they only hae a few 2005 models left. That might explain for their lower sales. I think the would be ML pruchasers are waiting for the newly designed model which has a lot of improvements. I will not be a return customer since I wanted a smaller car, and keep 10 grands in my pocket.

I went and test drove the new MB ML. I was unimpressed. I still like the current X5 to the new ML. :D
