I am looking to replace both armrests with a modern single armrest, such as in the '99 3-series. Are there any available for a '94 E34 5 series?

Javier, I have the same thought as you. Pls let me know if you can find the part no. (I'm thinking about a trip to PIY yard...)

I have read about this conversion and no one so far has come up with a reasonable way to preform it. No one that I know of has even tried it because it looks impossible to do it tastefully. There is nothing offered stock or aftermarket. If you are able to do it please post pictures!

Curious-- why do you want do that? The indiviudal armrests on the e34 are quite elegant and unique.

The new center console will has a compartment (for more junks) & will has a "cup-holder". (Yeah, I need to have a cup holder...but I don't want to spent $20-100 for only the cup holder.)

A lot of people seem to like these. They hold everything, cost reasonable, and are easy to use. I am about to buy them but right now it will take two weeks to get one.
