2003 Model Year 7 Series
With the launch of the 2002 model year, the new 7 Series has been a sales success and it has established itself once again as the "Driver's Car" of the segment. Early 7 Series buyers rave
about the performance, handling and progressive luxury of the 745i and 745Li models. The new 7 Series is universally praised for offering an unmatched driving experience and it has defined the next generation of automobiles.
As the 7 Series enters into the second model year of its lifecycle, a few changes have been made to further enhance this vehicle.
745i and 745Li models:
•Rear Head Protection System (HPS) is now standard.
•Optional Active Cruise Control (ACC) is now available. Utilizing signals from the radar sensor in the front bumper, ACC adjusts the vehicle's speed automatically (within certain limits) to maintain the following distance that has been set by the driver. This feature is a significant contribution to the ease of driving at cruising speeds during highway driving. However, it in no way diminishes or substitutes for the driver's own responsibility in adjusting speed or otherwise controlling the vehicle.
•Optional 18" all-season run-flat tires with a new wheel design are now available.
745Li model only:
•Rear seat ventilation has been added to the optional Rear Comfort Seat. This enhancement now allows the optional Luxury Seating Package and optional Rear Comfort Seats to be ordered together.
Further developments during the 2003 model year:
•The introduction of the 760Li V-12 model.
•The introduction of the Sport Package with SOP 3/03.
With product actions like these, it is easy to agree that the 7 Series is a great car that is going to keep getting better.
Two thumbs
