We've been really lucky over the years, barely dodging the rain bullet twice.

In 2001, it poured the day and night before the event. I took a jaccuzzi in the
rain with my wife at midnight thinking, "oh sh*t, Bimmerfest begins in 6 hours!"

In 2003 rain was forecast for Bimmerfest the entire week leading up to it. It began
late in the evening afterwards, and it rained the entire next day...

I really hope it doesnt rain, but there calling for 60% chances right now, i think that will change as we get closer to the date.

Jon Shafer

Local meteorologists are calling for only a chance of showers. If you look at the actual system on the weather charts, it is a small "cut-off low" -- not a major weather event. We've faced much more ominous conditions in the past including Bimmerfests 2001 and 2003 -- both times told expect downpours -- and not a drop during the event.

PLEASE think positively. Bimmerfest has been blessed. Like the Rose Parade!

weather.com says showers just about...oh, exactly as long as the event's supposed to run.

I'm going to get up at 5AM, survey the forecasts, if it looks like anything other than downpour we'll be on the road.

Let's see here...will it be the M5 with the empty bottle of M Blow Me ejaculate (something to use the 15% discount on...) or the 540i without nav?

Washed both last weekend, both have been parked under the trees this week, they both look like crap, I'm not washing either one of 'em now. Maybe there's a car wash in Santa Maria...
