Tonight I got an e-mail invitation from Mercedes Benz to participate in the M-Class Road Rally (https://www.mclassroadrally.com/default.asp). It is an event they are putting together in 10 cities across the US to showcase the introduction of the new M-Class. This is how the event is being described:
Driving adventures
Discover the sheer performance, revolutionary safety and handling capabilities of the all-new 2006 M-Class as you maneuver through two dynamic road courses.
Course 1: Acceleration and Handling. Put the all-new 2006 M-Class through its paces and witness first hand its superior performance and maneuverability.
Course 2: Compromised Road Condition. Test drive the all-new
2006 M-Class on challenging and unseasonable road conditions and discover its industry-leading safety and control innovations.
Learn all about the all-new 2006 M-Class through a lively and informative multi-media presentation.
This is what the 3 Across America should have been, a hands on experience. :(
Here in Houston it is being held at the Gulf Greyhound Park in Lamarque. It starts at noon Friday May 20 and runs through Sunday May 21. Even though SUVs are not my cup of tea I alway enjoy test driving cars, so I have signed up for Sat, the 1 PM slot.:D There is no charge for participating.
They will also be holding this event in Dallas.
