Waiting list for M5

I'm number 33 on the waiting list at my dealership in Minneapolis. Dealer estimates it will be 18 months until my number comes up, given the fact that delivery of the M5 should occur around September and about half of the people end up dropping off the list. Anybody else on a waiting list, and if so, what have you heard?

am no.1 on waiting list for an M6 at my dealers. I have a deposit down since January. They confirmed yesterday by email that there will be a standard shift M6. They do not anticipate delivery before Mar '06 in Toronto,but it is too early to say.
