Water leak

I bought a 97 4 door 318i recently and found water around back passenger door last rain. I checked the back drains on sun roof and are ok. I put tape over the bottom of window, belt high area, and sprayed. Still leaks. Any suggestions?

Took car to BMW mechanic and found the problem. Appears that it was the vapor barrier. No more leaks! :)

Whats a vapor barrier? I noticed my back seat was wet today after I washed my car. (could have gotten wet in the rain a few days ago too - it smelled a little wet yesterday.)

It's the plastic sheeting that is underneath the door panel. This caused the water to well up under the door and then run over the ledge onto the floor, not the seat.
