has anyone installed K&N air filters? (the cone type)

besides the nice sound, what else can it do? i have read some say that it is harmful and lowers HP. some say its good, filters more particles and increases HP

what does it really do?

This has been discused many times. People that have tried both say the stock filter is much better. It also filters better. You can do first hand research yourself but I am afraid it will be a waste of time and money. An EAT chip will be your best source for more HP.

werd. The EAT chip or even the one from Dinan (which is just as good in my opinion, although a little pricey) will give you the most bang for your buck.

If you really want to modify the intake, you could prolly still find the larger intake tube and bullhorn shapped inlet pieces that Dinan used to make.. :)

What about the K&N Square Drop-in Filters?

Seems to me that wouldn't mess with anything, But I don't really know.
