can anybody tell me how hard it is to change the springs on a 328i. i am going to order a set of lowering springs and i thought i might install them myself. it looks very basic as for the front springs but i cant seem to find any info on removing the rear spring. i have a manual but as i just said it shows how to remove the struts but not the rear springs. any thoughts or advice from anyone.

Wow, no advice?
Well, I installed a M3 rear sway on my 323 and although it took some help from my uncle, the rear springs with some maneuvering pretty much came straight out (jerk, pull, cuss, twist, but it came out).
If you're having problems, places like Autozone will 'loan' you (with a credit card) a spring compressor that will help.

A spring compressor is necessary if you are doing the fronts, a friend is a big help. Getting the rear springs out is very easy, just unbolt the rear shock, and then have a friend stand on the caliper while you pull the spring out.
