Bavarian Autosport sells a chip for $250. Does anyone know if these are worth it? Also, would a cold air intake boost my horsepower immensely?

Get a Jim Conforti chip from Turner Motorsports, they are $250.
Cold Air Intake does help give you power, but not too much.
They are both good mods.

Don't bother with chips until you've done all the other mods you're going to do. A proper chip is mapped for the parts you have on the car -- changing those parts *after* you get the chip means either you get another new chip, or the one you got is pointless.
Exhaust system first.
Intake next.
Any forced induction system next (turbo, super).
Intercooler next.
Boost controller next.
(etc etc)
"Chip" last.

I would have to agree with allen on this one. Also, if your car an automatic. Then getting the intake would do little for you also.
