Hello everyone :hi:
Just thought this would be a good time to chime in and introduce myself.
My name is CJ and I own a 79 E21 320i. Some of you may have seen it. Its Reseda green with the same good ol' M10, of course without a bit of modifications. If you have a classic BMW sign in and say hello
Heres a pic of mine

Beautiful 320i
I second that! I think the Alpina rims look much, much better than the other chrome jobs however. I sold my 320i back in 1989, but here are a few old pics (note color :) ).

It had a Korman Stage 2+ (Stage 2 motor with Schrick 292 and 45mm Webers) motor, Alpina springs, Korman sway bars, bushings, etc... It was a fun car that I used for an everday driver so my Bavaria could stay in the garage.

ChuckWere those gauges on the passenger side a factory option or a 3rd party item? It's been a while since I have been in a 320i and don't remember those.

Whats up everybody.....
My name is MOE. I own a 71 green/white 02. In the body work stage. I saw you guys at the show. Last year too. Sweet rides. I live up by San Fransico. I've owned this car for about 7 years. Its my second 02 and my third BMW. It was a daily driver beach cruiser but it has slowly become a track/street car.
I'll try to post more often, good to see the oldschool still around.
that gauge pod is aftermarket......altho that's the first 3-gauge pod i've seen mounted like that (usually they're right next to the main gauges, in the center of the dash).
btw, CSBM5, nice recaros' you had in there! i've never seen that type of cloth design in the centers like that.
here's my introduction :p :

hey Moe, is your '02 the one w/ the carbon fiber hood & trunk?
that's my favorite '02, and I remember it from last year too

Chuck, awesome color, I guess you can say it would be my favorite out of all E21 colors :D
That I believe is a Korman 3-pod, if its not I know they used to make them. By the way how much back then were the stage 2+ selling for?
Moe your 02 is sweet. Its super low and looks all business. I seen you 2 years and a row, too bad I have yet to meet you, next year....

Somewhere in my attic I have the Korman price lists from way back when; however, I bought the 320i as it was from a guy I knew in the club. He had built it to track it, so I bought it from him to drive everyday. :) I paid him $6500 for the car which I thought was a great deal since just the Recaros alone were over $1k, and a Stg 2+ motor was somewhere around $4000 I think. The guage pod was sourced at Korman most likely as the prior owner bought a lot of stufff from there.
Jbob -- beautiful car!
This is what I wanted to keep as a garage queen at the time: :D

Thanks CJ and Jason for the kind words...... :D It would of been cool to hang with you guys. :beerchug: Next year for sure. I was with the Bay Bimmerzs / Norcal.BMW group. We had some 80+ cars drive down. I had a little trouble from the start with the group, cracked header  so I had to drve back home. good thing it was only an hour from home. Then barrelled down to SB like I was on some mission.
It was cool to see your group again, sorry Im really bad about introducing myself, I'll have to make note of it next year. I must say I had my eyes on those cars for a while when I was there. :eeps: Absolutly perfect.
I saw Attila's turbo take off when all the cars were leaving. :jawdrop: :yikes: looks like not a car to mess with.
Jason I dig those wheels. Are they Panasports? My next purchase. I need to upgrade to 15 unfortunatly. Im going with a very larger brake kit up front. 11.25" rotors w/ light wieght calipers. A little over kill but the pad selection and weight saving is a plus.
Ive got to agree with you.........love that camber.
Later guys.......

Hey, yeah I have noticed you the last years, but could never find out who the owner was. I like it alot! we def have to meet up next year, or maybe even have a little classic meet soon?:eeps: .
And thanx!
haha, dam, glad you were still able to find parking inside the dealership.
the wheels are 15x7 Performance Superlites (from Austrialia).....lol, despite their name, they aren't quite light. they're similar to panasports....but are 10-spoke instead of 8-spoke, and have larger 'center-discs'. here's a side shot (http://members.aol.com/jmusubi/myhomepage/jbob1.jpg)
what front brake kit are you getting? Wilwoods?
geez, your '02 will be getting better every year....the first time i saw it last year, i thought the modified rear strut towers (for more suspension travel) was pretty slick; and this year the carbon-fiber hood & trunk were sweet; next year bigggg front brakes & wheels..

CJ, It was neat talking to you at Bimmerfest.
I had the only e12 there. Used to own a e21 in the same green as yours but nowhere near as nice.
I too, came down with the NorCal group.
Can't wait till next years Bimmerfest so I can meet more of the old time owners.

Whasup all,
I am the original owner of a Inka (bright orange) 1976 2002, I attended the BimmerFest and really enjoyed "hanging" with the classic owners, much of the rest of the show, while very interesting, was another world. Had lots of kids come up and not know what a 2002 was. Looking forward to the growth of this new forum for the classics.

Although other '02s started the BimmerFest road rally, we were the only 2002 to finish..

I'm Matt and I'm a E21'aholic.
I've had this problem almost 15 years.
My habit-of-choice is a E21 Hartge H3 323i RS. Not just another E21 Hartge, but after 14 years of looking, I believe it's the only E21 converted by Hartge left on the Planet.
Having a one of one has it's beni's, I mean there's worse things a guy can be stuck with: like an E30 M3.
BTW, my car has the dogleg tranny, but it's attached to a 4:75 rear, which makes those long freeway drives feel like you've been sitting hours on those hard vibrating chairs at the fair while drinking a few Starbucks. The bright side is that falling asleep while driving isn't an option.

May aswell hook into this site,
My name is ben, i've just moved to canada/vancouver from sydney australia, and i have just bought a '83 320i... i'm mechanically inclined so i already have a few plans for the car(when the motor blows), most of which you guys would probably hate me for :)
It's currently stock, with an exhaust system & a little richer tune.... has later model wheels apparently!? (i have no idea currently about beemers) and that's about it... don't have photos, but they should be up soon :)
hope to get to know you guys a little better :D
cheers,
benny

Hey, name is Nate and I drive a 1984 533i. I orginally got the car when I turned 16. It was my dads car before I got but he didn't have much trouble moving on to a 97' 740i. I would post some pictures of my bimmer but the digital camera is broken but I will try to get some up here soon.
