We don't like SMG..........

This is the funniest thread over at the http://www.bm3w.co.uk/ message board where the Brits are are giving us a hard time for not wanting SMG only... Its another good board to read. For the record I love SMG and am tired of Stick! One of the best things out of BMW ever. Well except for idrive :angel:

...........say the Americans, according to my new copy of evo, BMW may well go back on the decision to go SMG only with the M5 & M6 because American buyers like to stir the box,

Hopefully this will have a knock on effect for the new M3, as arguably this is even more likley to appeal to the younger driver who is even keener to change gears in the traditional manner.

Only thing is, you go manual, you get the current 6 speed versus the newly designed 7 speed with gears installed to minimize weight and rotational inertia without regard for the ability to manually shift in a logical pattern.
