Hey, I'm in the same scenario. Just got my 320i from my dad, and I could use some help! With the radio, how did you replace it? Was it difficult? And which radio receiver model did you use?

Also, did you do anything to the rear speakers? Mine are shot, and I don't know how to repair them.

and yes... i made that specifically for this situation

because you have an e21

and yes im in a cranky mood today (only because apparently i watched prince of persia with my girlfriend last night but i was too drunk to remember this morning)

oh and for the record YOU cannot repair speakers... go to walmart, spend 20 bucks DERP 2 new speakers
(normally i dont recommend walmart speakers but i used them in my jeep and they have a surprisingly good frequency response AND they work underwater :eeps: and AFTER they have been underwater)

Yes, I know I bumped an old thread, but I'm trying to find any information in regards to this. I've been struggling finding anything about what I'm looking for. :banghead:

from what i've heard the wiring harness for the radio is the same as the e30's... you could spend 40 bucks on an adapter OR just rip the old stereo out replace all the speakers (with the correct impedance ones) and hack up the stock wiring harness
try this link

Idk if this will help anyone but I tracked down the split in the negative sides of the speaker wiring on my 83 e21.
Because it was causing distortion in the sound output .

So I cut one side of the split and ran a separate line back to the radio. 490032

This connection is located to the left of the glove box from the radio to the main wiring loom.
