I just purchased a 94 530 and want to go through and change all of the vital fluids and aquaint myself with the car.
I don't have the owners manual or maintenence manual. I don't even know what all of the buttons and switches do on the car.

Could somebody direct me to a good source for the owners manual at least?

Thank you
DJ

Here are acouple of links for the e34 530i:

Good general info on the 530i/540i
BMW e34 site (http://www.e34v8.org/)

Lots of info on maintaining an e34.
e34 maintenance, upgrade and troubleshooting info (http://www.bmwe34.net/E34main.htm)

Good e34 forum.
e34 forum (http://www.bimmer.info/forum/index.php?)

The owners manual is available from the dealer or look on ebay.
The more important reading to get is the Bentley Manual if you are going to be doing any maintanance yourself.
Bentley Manual (http://www.bentleypublishers.com/product.htm?code=B595)
Search the web, I'm sure you can find this for around $50.00

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the great links! I will be hanging on those a lot.

A good friend of mine just gave me his "Bentley" E34 Service Manual for indefinate loan so that problem is taken care of.

I just ordered an owners manual from Books4cars.com for 34.00 plus postage. Hope that wasn't too much but I need to get up to speed quickly so I can learn how to run this thing and take care of it properly. I don't imagine the dealer is much cheaper and the closest is 30 miles away.

Thatks again, DJ

I just received the complete owners packet from Books4cars which has helped immensely in learning about this car. Lots of great resources on the internet. Thanks, DJ

I got mine from them too..and paid the same. I was pleasently surprised when instead of just getting a book in the mail I got the whole package, leather case and all.. :)

No leather case with mine but I got a BMW cassette. Introductory to the car I guess.
